Get Smart Card Ready
To receive encrypted e-mail messages, you must first publish your digital certificates to the Global Address List (GAL). You will need to do this each time you renew your certificates.

After you replace your badge, or renew your certificates, if you want to read old, previously encrypted e-mail messages you must recover your prior certificates from the HHS Identity PIV Portal.
